About

“Working with clay taught me to slow down and trust the process. It’s where I found peace again.”

The Story Behind Kyma

Kyma began as a search for stillness, a quiet space to create when the world felt heavy.

What started as a personal practice has grown into a collection of handbuilt ceramics for mindful, intentional living.

Each piece is shaped slowly and thoughtfully, guided by form, tone, and texture to bring a sense of calm into the home.

Meet the Maker

I’m Pana, the founder and maker behind Kyma. Working with clay taught me to slow down and trust the process. It's where I found peace again.

Made by hand in my Gisborne studio, each piece comes together with patience and care. My approach is guided by simplicity and an eye for design, creating work that feels both grounded and refined.

A Name with Meaning

Kyma (pronounced kee-ma) is the Greek word for wave. The name is an ode to my heritage and reflects the flow of my creative process and the calm I find in making.

My work is minimal and inspired by organic forms, with each piece shaped to feel at home in a space and bring a quiet sense of connection.
