Kyma Ceramics

Slow ceramics for still moments ~

Handbuilt Forms for Quiet Living

Each piece is formed slowly and intentionally in my Gisborne studio. Inspired by organic movement and the rhythm of the sea, no two pieces are ever the same.

A Journey Shaped by Clay

Kyma was born from a search for solace, where making offered a quiet, grounding space. What began as a personal practice has grown into a collection of handbuilt ceramics for mindful living.

Each piece is created with an eye for form, tone, and texture. The shapes are soft, the surfaces tactile, and every work is made to bring a sense of calm and balance into the home.

The Art of Slow Making

Each piece begins as a simple block of clay, shaped and refined slowly by hand. The work unfolds over hours of quiet attention, allowing form and texture to emerge naturally.

Fired twice and carefully finished, every piece carries the subtle marks of its making and the tactile beauty of stoneware.

Making in this way is a practice of patience, presence, and intention.
